Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) suite of certifications are stand-alone short duration certifications provided by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants which serves the dual purpose of giving students access to multiple diplomas and certificate consistent with the level of proficiency they wish to achieve and also an alternative entry route to enter ACCA if the minimum entry requirements such as completion of Grade XII and minimum marks therein are not met.
Certifications available under FIA
a. Essential for direct entry to ACCA (for those not satisfying the minimum entry requirements)

Diploma in Accounting and Business (these are the three exams to be completed for direct entry to ACCA)
 Accountant in Business (FAB)
 Financial Accounting (FFA)
 Management Accounting (FMA)

b. Other additional certifications (not necessary to gain entry to ACCA but can be pursued as stand-alone certifications)

(i) Introductory Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting (not necessary to gain entry to ACCA but can be pursued as stand-alone certifications)
 Recording Financial Transactions (FA1)
 Management Information (MA1)

(ii) Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting (not necessary to gain entry to ACCA but can be pursued as stand-alone certifications)
i. Maintaining Financial Records (FA2)
ii. Maintaining Costs and Finance (MA2)

(iii) Foundations Certificate in Audit (FAU)
(iv) Foundations Certificate in Taxation (FTX)
(v) Foundations Certificate in Finance Management (FFM)
